 Nick Aschliman, P.E., LEED AP 2011 HALL OF FAME INDUCTEE
Nicholas J. Aschliman, P.E., LEED AP Vice President Fugro Consultants, Inc. With a professional career spanning 43 years in the AEC industry, Nick Aschliman is synonymous with marketing and business development in the built environment. He is a graduate of Purdue University where he studied civil engineering and graduated with highest honors. It was in the early 1980s when he first entered the world of business development. You could say "Nick was BD before BD was cool!" A long-time supporter of SMPS Houston, Nick is a past President, Member of the Year Award recipient, and served on numerous committees throughout the years. Serving as a mentor to many SMPS members throughout his career, he continues to set the standard for excellence in our industry. Nick has become a mainstay at Fugro Consultants. Over the last 11 years, his business development efforts have resulted in new prominence in the areas of public works, commercial, and institutional projects along the Gulf Coast. Under his direction, Fugro has implemented a broad range of marketing and communications programs including a quantifiable performance feedback system. Most recently, Nick has orchestrated the marketing, branding, and communication aspects of the newly integrated Fugro Consultants organization. In June of this year, Nick and his wife Brenda will relocate to Bloomington, Indiana. Nick will continue to work part time out of his home office to assist Fugro in leading their successful marketing/communications program. |
