It facilitates the development of intentional friendships by guiding professionals and their respective firms in career development to stay abreast of industry trends. The program provides: 1) confidential resources to marketers and their firms, 2) expansion of professional networks, 3) access to a broad range of marketing tools and information, 4) a forum to discuss career development, and 5) a certificate of completion from the SMPS Houston Mentoring Program at the end of the program year.
One-2-One Program The One-2-One Program is an individualized career development program. Mentor Committee members will review and analyze applications and resumes, and prepare program participants for their 12 month One2One partnership with programs such as Mentor/Protégé training, Myers Briggs Type Indicator testing, and the SMPS Gap Analysis. As the fall term for each new class approaches, the committee will email a call for applications during the spring and announce the maximum number of pairs that will be accepted into the program. Completed protégé applications (including $100 fee, application, and resume) will be accepted by mail or delivery only and date-stamped. After the maximum number of protégés are accepted into the program, additional applicants will be added to a waiting list for the next One2One class.
